Amazing stay but not worth the price paid for

The price paid does not justify as all is good but unnecessary. So much beverage and dessert are provided in the fridge and snacks and fruits on the table which we didn’t consume which were wasted. Overall, the room and our stay were very comfortable cos all the staff were friendly with so many items provided for in the room but unnecessary such as slippers, robes, socks etc.

The common hot spring was a disappointment cos it’s old and small.

Overall an amazing stay. Love the hot spring in the room. Love the layout of the room

Breakfast was amazing with great selection of food. Great ambience as well.

Feel like we were in Japan!

Comfy beds, yummy food, 5-star service, a hotel full of Japanese vibe, perfect for a retreat/getaway in the city!

Public indoor hot-spring area with limited space, without specialty in terms of design and facilities! But we enjoy the in-room (1618) open-air hot-spring pool!

Wonderful

We like the property but we don’t understand why there is extra charge for Visa card charge. We should be charged exactly as what we booked price, we got 12.5% credit card charges when they asked us whether we wanted to use US dollars. We found out after that there was extra YS credit card 12.5% charge. Not right. They didn’t tell us this before hand.

Great hot spring experience with an even better breakfast!

The hotel had excellent staff who were ready to welcome all guests. The staff even went an extra mile to bring us to our room and to introduce all the facilities in the hotel and in our room. In addition, the staff member also brought us the slippers without us requesting for them. In addition, the complimentary breakfast buffet breakfast at the location had a rather large variety which was a great plus point.

Despite the overall good impression and experience of the hotel, I found some places which could be improved. As an individual who is 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall, I found it hard to travel around the room without bumping into the door frames, which were made for someone who was of a shorter stature. I have stayed in various Hot Spring resorts in Japan and have never encountered such an issue, and was surprised that I faced it in Taiwan, ROC. In addition, I felt that the room cleaning was not thoroughly done as I found some small bits of plastic wrappings underneath the table in the living room.

Almost perfect stay except for 1 bad staff service

The high class feel of the hotel, and its central location with free shuttle transfer from Beitou train station. Almost all the staff were hospitable except for one.

We had a little unpleasant incident with One of the female staff. It was raining nonstop during our 2 day stay and we tried to borrow two umbrella between us two and our baby. Other guests were using 1 umbrella each but the female staff told us to share 1 between 3 of us (even though there were many spare in the rack). When we got too wet and turned back to borrow a second umbrella, another female staff member was able to get us another umbrella straight away. It would have been a perfect stay otherwise. A pity.
